PHYSICALLY PRESENT AT WORK DURING RMCO (RECOVERY MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER)
I had such a long day at work today. We had a briefing early in the morning so they made me skipped my breakfast. The briefing was on the reopening of the Preschool which is going to happen on 1st of July as announced by the government. So, the briefing was there to prepare the teachers for the school reopening soon. It did not involve the teachers alone, all school administers and staff had to be there for the briefing to make sure all are aware of the of the related SOP. All are required to be well versed of the SOP so as to ensure the safety the kids and no lives are being put at risk. We were given a detailed explanation on the SOP as well as a handout with a full list of SOP for teachers to refer to all the time and for future reference. We need to have the SOP in place and different parts of school may have to follow different SOP. There is SOP that we have to follow in the classroom, in the canteen, library, laboratory and basically everywhere you turn you will see the SOP. We have to follow strictly what the SOP says and so does the physical environment of the school. Hand sanitisers will be in every corner of the school. You will see partitions( to keep all at a safe distance), signs and a lot of posters related to safety precaution to be taken in the middle of Covid19 crisis. We spent quite some time discussing on ways to provide a safe environment at school not just for the kids but for the teachers and school staff as well. We will do everything possible to keep everyone safe from the Corona virus. Parents should be able to shake off their worries over their kids' safety. No doubt that their kids will be in good hands and school will be one of the safest place ever for them to be at. Next, we were introduced to the new 'Duty Roster'. On that roster, you will see names of teachers on duty as well as their shifts. We will be practicing 'turn taking' alternately taking charge of the kids and teachers were advised to pay close attention to the roster so as for them to be aware of the assigned tasks as well as for them to not miss their turn. After almost 2 hours, the meeting was dismissed.
