Should we teach letter names and sounds separately or together?

  Teaching kids to read might not be easy and can be quite challenging. However, knowing the right techniques to teaching kids reading might save all the troubles and provide a good teaching experience for teachers or parents as well as provide good learning experience for the kids. The very first step to reading is for the kids to know and remember the letter sounds. Once they have this first step down, the next step would be to be able to blend or put the sounds together to form words. Words are made up of sounds. Thus it is very important that the kids know and remember all the sounds. The letter would be the symbol. Each letter represents sound or sounds. Letter names and sounds can be taught together or separately. Your approach to teaching reading should depend on the students’ level. To motivate your parents as a child is not easy. You can do your best and give them the best advices ever. However, your parents are not likely to take your advices or words of encouragement seriously. They may not even bother to sit down in the same room and had a conversation with you. They may get caught up with how depressing they are and thus no time is being put aside for you. The depression and problems will keep them busy all the time and a child may never stand a chance for a moment with them. Your parents will never turn to a child for support and motivation.  Even if you managed to have a motivating speech ready for them and you able to present the speech to them, it is no guarantee that they will listen to you and actually put those advices into action. BLACK LIVES MATTER

What do you think about the George Floyd issue? I think it's crazy and simply heartless. It was like being forced to watch your least favourite movie. You will have all kinds of terrible feelings inside you. A mix of anger, upset and a huge disappointment. One thing that surprised and bothered me the most was that the polices are the 'main antagonist' in the story. POLICE should be the one responsible to uphold justice, combat crime and protect us. However, the officers turned out to be the very individuals to harm and put an end to an innocent life. After the incident, we could not help ourselves doubting that we can't count on them and the country is not in good hands. With the involvement of the abuse of power, worries are welcomed into our lives and we do not feel safe anymore. I do hope the authority will do their best to make those officers paid a heavy price for what they did. We should never let them get away with it and they do deserve the highest degree level ...
