To motivate your parents as a child is not easy. You can do your best and give them the best advices ever. However, your parents are not likely to take your advices or words of encouragement seriously. They may not even bother to sit down in the same room and had a conversation with you. They may get caught up with how depressing they are and thus no time is being put aside for you. The depression and problems will keep them busy all the time and a child may never stand a chance for a moment with them. Your parents will never turn to a child for support and motivation.
Even if you managed to have a motivating speech ready for them and you able to present the speech to them, it is no guarantee that they will listen to you and actually put those advices into action. They will not get moved by your motivating speech. One of the main reasons is because you are a child. No one really takes a child words or actions seriously. They do doubt your capability and ability to understand your situation and let alone to motivate them.
You are most likely not gonna able to convince them not to give up and to keep hoping for the bad situation to turn around and there will be rainbow after the cloud. You can never convice them that everything happens for a reason and things will eventually turn out to be okay and there still hope in every hopeless situation. No matter how worse things get, please hang on and do believe that you have what it takes to pull through and survive the tough times. These are exactly the words they need to hear. But they wont simply listen because you are a child.
So my advice would be to go out there and seek help. The help must come from someone older,a trusted one and above all someone close to your parents. You can go and talk to your grandparents. Ask them for a hand. Tell them about your dad and his situation. Let them be the one to go talk to your dad instead of do it yourself. Hopefully your dad will listen to your grandpa. But, you can give a shot at this. You may have a hard time to motivate them. But a shot will not bring you any harm and you've got nothing to lose. Give them your best advices and words of encouragement. Do your part and leave the rest to God. They can take the advice or leave it.
